National Day Celebration & Uniformed
Groups Leadership Awards Presentation

On 6 August 2015, ACS (Independent) held its National Day Celebration along with the
Presentation of the Uniformed Groups Leadership Awards at the school’s Astroturf. To
commemorate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, the school invited the elderly residents from
the Dover Estate to join the school’s celebrations, as an expression of our gratitude to the
pioneers who helped build the Singapore we know today.
There was much fanfare as the flag-bearers from the various uniform groups proudly
marched in. After the singing of the national anthem, the flags were installed and the flag-
bearers marched off. Our Guest-of-Honour, Dr Danny Ng, Chairman of PSG (Parents’
