Chinese New Year Celebrations 2016

ACS (Independent) celebrated Chinese New Year on 5 February. In line with the spirit of
the occasion, many wore red clothes. The entire school was transformed into a sea of red
and there was a festive feel to the day as everyone joyously welcomed the New Year.
Following a rousing round of drum beats by the Chinese Performing Arts Club and a brief
address from our Principal, Mr Winston Hodge, teachers and students were treated to a
dazzling array of performances by various student groups. Enjoyable performances
included the song item by the Y6 Chinese ab initio cohort and the mesmerising dance item
put up by Dance Venia, amidst many others.
